Curious about the new iPhone confession app, virtual puja, or Wikileaks'publication of esoteric religious documents? What is the impact of new technologies on religion today?  How is religion mediated in a digital age?

The Department of Religious Studies invites all Religious Studies graduate students and majors to join us for a roundtable discussion on "Digital Religion" with visiting scholars Christopher Helland (University of Toronto), Heidi Campbell (Texas A&M University), and Piotr Bobkowski (Postdoctoral Fellow, University of North Carolina).  The discussion will be co-hosted by Dr. Deborah Whitehead and Dr. Holly Gayley. See below for a list of suggested readings to prepare for the discussion.

Thursday, March 3, 3-5 pm in Humanities 230.
Light refreshments served.
