The Department of Religious Studies honored Professor Emeritus Fred Denny with a reception and guest lecture on Thursday, February 3rd. The reception was held on the top floor of Old Main with faculty and students in Religious Studies, Islamicists across campus, along with deans and longtime colleagues. The lecture by Ebrahim Moosa, Associate Professor Islamic Studies in the Department of Religion at Duke University, on “Re-Thinking Modern Muslim Discursivities: Counterpoints, Dilemmas and Politics” took place in a packed Hale 270.
