Visiting Professor Elaine Padilla will give a talk on: “Fluid Borders and Expansive Space: in Search of the Hospitable Sacred” on Monday, March 5, 2012 in Eaton Humanities 250 at 3:00 p.m.

Elaine Padilla is Assistant Professor of Constructive Theology at New York Theological Seminary. Dr. Padilla uses cross-disciplinary approaches, postcolonial and deconstructive theory to address issues of geographical borders and border-identities. She works on the historical aspects of Christian thought as well as contemporary issues of culture, gender and race in dialogue with feminist, Latino/a and Latin American thinkers.
